2nd shift quality assurance -food.

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Technician to join our client's team on the 2nd shift. This role ensures compliance with food safety regulations, company quality standards, and customer expectations by conducting inspections, audits, and testing throughout the production process. Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, or a related field is a plus.
  
  
• 1+ years of experience in a quality assurance role within the food manufacturing industry preferred.
  
  
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, GMPs, and SQF/BRC standards. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environmental conditions (cold/hot environments, standing for long periods, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine quality checks, inspections, and audits on raw materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  
  
• Monitor adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and other food safety programs.
  
  
• Collect and analyze samples for microbial, chemical, and physical testing.
  
  
• Investigate and document quality issues, deviations, and non-conformances, working with production to implement corrective actions.
