As the Director of QA, you will oversee the development and execution of food safety, quality, and compliance programs across multiple facilities. You will lead regulatory interactions and drive vendor audit compliance for raw materials, packaging, and supply chain partners. Additionally, you will spearhead initiatives to prevent and resolve food safety and quality issues, focusing on HACCP, cGMP, Process Control, Equipment Sanitization, FIFO, and Allergen Management.

salary: $160,000 - $170,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Management: Oversee and lead the QSE organization, combining engineering expertise with keen management capabilities.
• Travel: Willingness and ability to travel between four facilities in NJ/NY.
• Customer Complaints: Manage and lead investigations, ensuring timely and effective responses to customer complaints.
• Safety SOPs: Develop, implement, and oversee Safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Regulatory Compliance: Extensive experience interfacing with the FDA and other regulatory agencies.
• Problem Solving: Identify, prevent, and resolve food safety and quality issues for both existing and new products, focusing on Process Control, Equipment Sanitization, HACCP, cGMP Control, FIFO, Allergen Management, and Raw Materials.
• Vendor Audit Compliance: Lead and manage Vendor Audit Compliance programs for raw materials, consumables, food-contact packaging, and refrigerated shipping and receiving vendors.
• Food Safety & Quality System: Develop and maintain a Food Safety and Quality System in compliance with BRC standards.
