We're searching for a Brake Press Machinist interested in a long term career at a well established company, known for incredibly low turnover due to the company culture.  Position Requirements: Minimum of High School Education or GED equivalent and at least 1 year of experience working with Brake Press Machines. Must have thorough knowledge of the use of precision measuring instruments. Layout and drawings. Minimum of five years machining experience in a non-production setting or combination of experience and approved vocational machine shop  training.

salary: $52,000 - $59,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 6 AM - 4:30 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

1) Perform setups by selecting, positioning and aligning dies in the machine ram and bed,
utilizing the part drawing and knowledge of brake press tooling.
2) Read blue prints to interpret appropriate tools to use, bend allowances, bending sequence,
type of bend, calculate material tonnage.
3) Plan sequence of operations.
4) Able to understand the part drawing for making adjustments to the machine to control speed,
material feed, path of cut.
5) Working knowledge of punch and die configurations, tip radius and the effect on part
geometry.



The essential functions of this role include:

wearing steel toe shoes

manual lifting up to 50lbs

standing for 8 hours at one time

working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
