Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines (Okuma and Haas machines—“G” code) used to cut and shape precision workpieces used in the manufacture of heat transfer products from solid blocks of metal.
- Read and interpret blueprints and/or job orders to determine product specifications, tooling instructions, and sequence of operations.
- Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on CNC machines.
- Control position of tool and workpiece in relation to each other and set specified feeds, speeds, and depth of cut. Make adjustments as necessary.
- Set-up fixture or feeding device, start machine, feed tool to workpiece, and engages feed.
