salary: $47,000 - $68,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems
• Ability to train helpers while performing tasks
• Ability to repair most industrial equipment at plant and mines
• Ability to recognize bad parts and know which parts need replacing
• Ability to completely fill out maintenance work orders MWO’s
• Knowledge of what tools are required to complete a job and ability to estimate time to complete jobs
• Ability to thread and run pipe
• Knowledge of the names of all industrial equipment at the plant and mines and how it operates
• Knowledge of how to operate all shop equipment
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Ability to fill in for the Lead Mechanic when necessary
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including covering weekends and call-outs
• Ability to complete Site Specific forms, perform New Task Training and identify training needs
• Good communication skills
• Ability to ensure safety policies are followed by others
• Ability to read and interpret operation, installation, maintenance manuals etc
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings such as PID’s



The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environment

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

manual lifting up to 50lbs

standing for 12 hours at one time

working up to 12 hrs of overtime per week

working weekends
