Responsibilities

DESCRIPTION:
*Operate computerized controls to produce quality asphalt mixtures according to specifications and mix designs for State and local customers
*Deliver specified mixture and quantities onto trucks/load trucks and create proper tickets
*Be able to recognize improper tickets and correct them 
*Ensure personnel safety including customers delivering/receiving materials
*Monitor the operation and function of the plant throughout the workday
*Assist with plant maintenance and routine servicing
*Assist plant foreman with ordering supplies and materials
*Train plant personnel and have knowledge of their daily tasks

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
*1-3 experience years including familiarized with aspects of mix design, mix design manufacturing process, and operation and maintenance of a computerized plant
*Ability to communicate effectively
*Use of simple math, including use of Excel workbooks or similar with knowledge of formulas, charts, tables, drawings
*General computer skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
*Moderate physical activity required
*Occasional lifting of heavy material, especially when plant is under repair
