Responsibilities
As a Kitter at EMD Millipore in Danvers, MA, you will play a key role in the manufacturing and production process by assembling and organizing materials, components, and kits for production and distribution. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick, sort, and prepare raw materials, components, and subassemblies according to work orders and production schedules.
- Accurately count, label, and package kits for manufacturing or shipment.
- Use computer systems and Microsoft Excel to track inventory, update kit documentation, and ensure accurate material movement.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure product integrity and compliance with company standards.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by properly documenting material movement and reporting discrepancies.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, carts) as needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Perform quality checks to ensure kits contain the correct materials and are free from defects.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Assist with other warehouse and production tasks as needed.
