Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and adjust film coating machines to ensure proper coating application.
- Monitor machine settings such as spray rate, temperature, air pressure, and drying time to maintain coating consistency.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary adjustments to minimize downtime.
- Inspect coated tablets for defects such as uneven coating, discoloration, or peeling.
- Ensure each batch meets Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and FDA regulations.
- Maintain accurate batch records, logs, and reports.
- Measure and mix polymer solutions, plasticizers, solvents, and colorants following precise formulations.
- Load raw tablets into coating machines and unload finished products for further processing.
- Ensure all materials are properly labeled and stored according to safety protocols.
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of machines, tools, and work areas to prevent cross-contamination.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and notify technicians of any repairs needed.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Adhere to workplace safety standards, including handling hazardous materials properly.
