Responsibilities
- Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials and supplies being shipped and received.
- Will investigate any inventory issues and correct, providing detail information to supervisor immediately.
- Maintains other shipping records such as goods returned, returnable pallets, etc.
- Be an active participant in the day-to-day activities required to meet the shipping goals by coordinating the staging or loading of trucks(monitor E-mails) .
- Will provide guidance and routine direction to all shipping employees, while communicating sufficiently with other personnel and departments
- Will ensure quality standards in loading and unloading of product.
- Will monitor the temperatures in the cooler rooms where product is stored.
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Detail-oriented and multitasking skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Three+ years experience in shipping and inventory control preferably in the produce industry.
- Previous working experience using a forklift and pallet jack; forklift certification preferred.
