Responsibilities
The Quality Engineer supports cross-functional teams to resolve customer concerns, improve processes, and ensure quality standards. This role leads PPM improvement plans and supports strategic quality initiatives.
- Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, and Production to resolve customer complaints.
- Lead PPM improvement plans for key customers.
- Provide quality engineering support to ensure consistent application of quality techniques.
- Identify and resolve quality issues related to capability, tolerance, and materials.
- Develop and oversee validation protocols and documentation.
- Conduct process stability and capability studies, analyze results, and recommend process improvements.
- Facilitate Pre-Production trial runs for new tooling and equipment qualification.
- Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and maintain Control Plans.
- Perform internal audits and support the Food Safety Management System.
- Utilize statistical techniques and Measurement System Analysis tools.
- Maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and coworkers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or related Engineering field.
- Experience with FSSC 22000, ISO 9000, and quality management systems.
- Proficiency in Minitab, MS Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent understanding of quality systems, audits, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Ability to analyze data and drive process improvements.
- ASQ Certification preferred.
