- Inspect, maintain, and repair marine fire, safety, and rescue equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers, SCBAs, gas detectors).
- Work directly with ships' superintendents, officers, and crew during inspections.
- Maintain workshop tools and equipment.
- Prepare certification paperwork and follow maritime safety regulations.
- Provide technical assistance and complete projects onboard and in the shop.
- 2–3 years of experience with marine fire and safety equipment.
- Knowledge of fire safety regulations, electrical circuits, and mechanical piping.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in ship/rig environments.
- High school diploma (technical training preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain TWIC card.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
