A manufacturing company in Northwest GA is looking for someone with extensive Administrative skills to support their Safety Leadership team.  The position will start as temporary to hire during the probationary time; however, the company is wanting the job to quickly evolve into a salaried, permanent position.  The 3 most important things the company is wanting at this time include 1) Previous safety experience  2) Able to translage English/Spanish  3) Understand the position will require heavy administrative skills (extensive data entry, analyzing reports, constantly maintaining digital files).  If interested - please apply and send an updated resume to ginger.talley@randstadusa.com.

Responsibilities

The primary purpose will be supporting the Safety Manager and team.  This Specialist will handle all administrative tasks related to safety, compliance and reports.  And will help translate & explain safety processes to employees.

Main Responsibilities:

• Maintain OSHA logs for multiple locations
• Help perform Safety Audits and report findings to management and owners
• Meet with managers, supervisors and employees to discuss safety concerns & findings
• Review reports to create data, charts, graphs, etc. to present to Safety Committee and management each week
• Help review and develop safety trainings and policies
• Review and update job descriptions to ensure OSHA compliant
• Maintain all DOT files for drivers
• Perform lift truck certifications and maintain lift truck files to ensure OSHA compliance
• Schedule and create agendas for monthly safety meetings for multiple manufacturing facilities

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED is required + additional college is highly preferred
• At least 2 years experience in safety management 
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Highly proficient with MS Office (especially Excel)
• Experience writing formal letters, emails, presentations, etc.

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• standing for 6 hours at one time
• working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
