Key Responsibilities:
- Operate company vehicles to transport food products to and from the food bank to agencies, donors, and other assigned areas.
- Load, unload, and clean the truck regularly.
- Count and separate food donations or purchased products by type during unloading.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, donors, and clients about the company and associated situations.
- Assist with special events and distributions as needed.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Possession of a current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B.
- Minimum of 1 year of consistent CDL driving experience within the last 3 years; 3+ years preferred.
- No more than 1 accident in the last 3 years.
- No more than 1 driving-related suspension in the last 3 years.
- No more than 2 minor moving violations while operating a CDL truck in the last 3 years.
- No serious moving violations while operating a CDL truck in the last 3 years.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Ability to work night shifts.
- Excellent physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items.
- strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Prior experience in a similar role is a plus.
