Responsibilities
- Set up and operate pill compression machines (such as tablet presses) to compress powdered or granulated substances into pill forms.
- Adjust machine settings, such as tablet weight, hardness, and thickness, to meet specific product specifications.
- Ensure that the raw materials (powdered chemicals, excipients, or granules) are properly prepared and loaded into the compression machine.
- Verify the quality and consistency of materials before use to ensure uniformity in the final pill product.
- Regularly monitor the pill compression process to ensure tablets meet required quality standards, such as uniformity, hardness, size, and weight.
- Take samples from the production line to conduct tests for quality control purposes.
- Document any deviations from quality standards and take corrective actions when necessary.
