Responsibilities
Are you passionate about ensuring product quality and precision in a dynamic manufacturing environment? We’re looking for a skilled Quality Control Technician to join our team and help maintain our high standards of production excellence!
Key Responsibilities:
- QC Expertise: Utilize your knowledge of quality control methods to ensure products meet specifications.
- Blueprint Analysis: Interpret blueprints, leveraging intermediate GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) knowledge to identify potential failures, assess issues, and develop real-time solutions.
- Operator Collaboration: Provide critical feedback to extrusion press operators regarding any out-of-spec material.
- Issue Identification: Work closely with the Production & QA Manager to address visual and dimensional discrepancies.
- First Article Inspections: Complete detailed First Article Inspection reports for all extruded orders each day.
- Reporting & Documentation: Submit comprehensive reports to the Die Correction department for any non-conforming products.
- Intermediate GD&T knowledge and blueprint reading skills
- Proficient in using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, protractor, square, and straight edge
- Experience with optical comparator (preferred)
- Solid understanding of ISO9001 or AS9100 standards
