Responsibilities

• The Maintenance Technician 1 position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production and facility equipment
• This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement, requiring technicians to document their work accurately and serve as subject matter experts and trainers for their peers
• The position operates on a night shift schedule and involves hands-on work with various tools and machinery
• Follow safety procedures, checklists, and protocols while working
• Provide on-shift production support and maintain clean work areas
• Install and maintain production machines and facility equipment
• Perform corrective repairs during production and scheduled maintenance during machine service
• Utilize hand, machining, fabrication, and power tools for maintenance tasks
• Fabricate new and replacement parts according to specifications and blueprints
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and complete special projects as assigned
• Document work appropriately and perform data entry into relevant systems
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the maintenance shop and equipment
• Keep supervisors and teammates informed of maintenance concerns and problems

The essential functions of this role include:

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

manual lifting up to 50lbs

standing for 10 hours at one time

working up to 4 hrs of overtime per week
