- Troubleshoot and resolve injection molding defects to ensure quality parts.
- Monitor scrap rates, optimize cycle times, and improve process efficiency.
- Ensure correct materials, tools, and auxiliary equipment are ready for production.
- Assist in mold trials and new product introduction.
- Conduct quality inspections and ensure adherence to production standards.
- Maintain accurate process records and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize mold performance.

Responsibilities
- Set up and approve processes for plastic injection molding machines.
- Ensure proper job start-up procedures, including tool, material, and equipment readiness.
- Facilitate mold trials and assist with new product introduction.
- Monitor scrap rates and process constraints to improve efficiency.
- Record and analyze production process outputs for optimization.
- Adjust machine settings for molding temperature, pressure, and cycle time.
- Verify correct materials are used according to work orders.
- Inspect and ensure quality of molded parts throughout production.
- Maintain electronic records of process inputs and outputs for repeatability.
- Support new product development and assist in PPAP processes.
- Conduct material testing for resin approval.
- Report findings and approve production articles for quality reference.
- Retain and label samples before mold changes.
- Document and monitor production scrap and mold performance.
- Start and manage production work orders in Mattec.
- Troubleshoot molding defects and communicate tooling concerns.
- Train and assist production staff in molding processes.
- Conduct audits and preventative maintenance on molds.
- Collaborate with tooling teams to ensure proper mold labeling and tracking.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures while maintaining a high-performance culture.
