We are partnering with a well-established company in the trucking industry that specializes in designing, manufacturing, and customizing specialized trucks with unique features such as arm extensions for various industries. We are currently looking for qualified candidates for the Truck Body Assembler position at their Hauppauge, NY location. We welcome entry-level candidates as well as those with experience in automotive assembly or mechanical work to apply!

Position Details:

• Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week
• Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 an hour, based on experience

Responsibilities

• Assemble Truck Bodies: Assemble and install custom truck bodies on various chassis, ensuring all parts are correctly fitted and securely attached.
  
  
• Use Tools: Operate hand tools and power tools to complete assembly tasks efficiently and safely.
  
  
• Work in a Manufacturing Environment: Work in a fast-paced, noisy factory setting, following safety guidelines and maintaining quality standards.
  
  
• Follow Assembly Instructions: Read and follow detailed assembly drawings and instructions to ensure proper assembly.
  
  
• Troubleshoot and Assemble Parts: Use mechanical knowledge to identify and fix issues, ensuring all parts are assembled accurately.
  
  
• Physical Requirements: Lift and move parts weighing up to 50 pounds as part of the assembly process.
  
  

The essential functions of this role include:

wearing steel toe shoes

manual lifting up to 40lbs

standing for 3 hours at one time

working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
