Responsibilities
Plans machining processes by reviewing machining schedule, Job Order requests, blueprints, engineering
detail models, engineering plans, bills of materials, specifications, sketches and machining parameters;
interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
Create documentation that defines, tracks, organizes activities such as daily work and machine build
projects.
Troubleshoot potential problems with CNC, G code and make necessary changes to ensure completed
parts are in accordance with detail print as released.
Set up of CNC mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool
registers, offsets, and compensation; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and
trigonometry; proving part programs.
Set-up and operate surface grinding equipment, to achieve finished requirements in accordance with
detail print as released.
Efficiently create complete CNC programs utilizing CAM software, and organized CNC job package,
including tool lists, set-up instruction sheets and graphics overview detailing specifics to set-up job in CNC
machine.
Change over of mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tool holders, tools,
attachments, collets, stops, mounting and indicating vices and, tramming heads
Fabricate machine components to include Die and Jig components fabrication, with common tightly held
tolerances.
