Randstad is seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join a warehouse team in New Berlin, WI. The ideal candidate will have expertise in welding techniques, metal fabrication, and blueprint reading. You will be responsible for assembling and welding metal components to meet project specifications.

salary: $40,000 - $50,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 3 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Determine if material is to specs, check prints for E.C.O.’s N.C.R.’s, etc., and for latest revisions. 
• Set-up material in positioner, jig, or fixtures. Make simple layouts when required. 
• Weld or stud weld various types of hardware to the part being built. 
• Tack weld part, adjusting wire feed for proper size weld seam. 
• Grind excess weld and trim edges for fit of parts and appearance. 
• Operate crane, electric stacker, and other mechanical assists to move, position, and unload heavy parts and assemblies. 
• Operate oxyacetylene cutting/carbon arc torch and replace mig torch body, lever switch, and hoses from wire feed to torch body.

The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environment

wearing steel toe shoes

manual lifting up to 50lbs

standing for 8 hours at one time

working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week

working weekends

Skills

assemble (3 years of experience is preferred)

weld (3 years of experience is preferred)
