The Chemical Production Operator is responsible for the production of materials by selecting and transporting drums and bags to mixers and kettles. This role requires handling raw materials, following batch sheets, and assisting kettle operators and mixers in daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately weigh and measure raw materials using scales.
- Transport materials using a drum runner and forklift (training provided for certification).
- Load and unload bags and drums, ensuring proper material handling.
- Assist with mixing operations by moving materials to kettles and throwing bags as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Climb stairs, lift up to 60 lbs repeatedly, and perform physical labor throughout the shift.
Basic math skills for weighing and measuring liquids and solids. Understanding of material handling equipment, including drum runners and forklifts. Ability to follow batch sheets and production guidelines accurately. Required Soft Skills:
