The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for skilled maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and structural systems. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining facility components while adhering to safety standards and operational procedures. Additional responsibilities include managing spare parts inventory, recommending tool and equipment purchases, and assisting in process improvements. The technician will also support projects, oversee lower-level technicians, and contribute to training initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical safety issues.
- Diagnose facility maintenance needs and propose solutions to minimize downtime.
- Manage inventory for repair parts and tools.
- Support installation, start-up, and ongoing operation of facility projects.
- Assist with asset usage tracking and warehouse personnel training.
- Execute corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Contribute to process improvements through research and development.
- 3-5 years of experience in machine operations, facility maintenance, and high-volume conveying systems.
- 3 years of PLC and advanced electrical maintenance/repair experience.
- Familiarity with motors, water systems, PLC controls, and large-volume washers.
- Experience with welding, pipe installation/repair, and heating/boiler units.
- Knowledge of general facility maintenance, including doors, office spaces, and forklifts.
