The Manufacturing Technician I is responsible for executing processes in production at Takeda’s manufacturing facility in Round Lake, Illinois, while strictly adhering to cGMP, environmental health and safety guidelines and any other related regulations that apply. The incumbent will fully participate in both departmental projects and any quality working teams which may be applicable. Responsibilities include hands-on execution of all activities in the production area. Work is done under the general direction of the Lead technician and the overall direction of the Supervisor

salary: $21 - $22.68 per hour

Responsibilities

• Work multiple shifts, including weekends and holidays, as necessary to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation as needed
• Must be willing and able to work 12 hour shifts according to rotating 2-2-3 yearly shift calendar; day shift 5am -5:30 pm and night shift 5:00pm to 5:30am
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and follow detailed written and oral instructions in English
• Must have basic written and oral communication skills and ability to learn and comply with current Good Manufacturing Processes (cGMP) regulations
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment
• A self-starter with a positive attitude and good time management skills
• Ability to remain professional at all times
• Meet the deadlines of individual production tasks during shift
• Follow the company’s safety and quality requirements
• Overtime will be required at times

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• manual lifting up to 20lbs
• standing for 12 hours at one time
• working up to 8 hrs of overtime per week
• working weekends
