Responsibilities
As a TIG Welder you will assist in welding together large pieces of equipment. You will also assist with grinding to smooth parts of the equipment, as well as any other tasks assigned. Welding Techniques: Perform TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding on various materials, particularly stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals, ensuring precision and quality. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand welding requirements. Equipment Setup: Set up and calibrate TIG welding equipment, adjusting parameters such as current, gas flow, and electrode size as needed. Material Preparation: Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, and fitting components to ensure proper alignment and bonding. Quality Assurance: Inspect and test welds for defects, ensuring they meet industry standards and project specifications. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure a safe working environment. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on welding equipment to keep it in optimal working condition.
