Responsibilities
The Matrix Operator is responsible for setting up machines according to established parameters, ensuring efficient start-up, changeover, and shutdown operations. This includes making adjustments to maintain both the physical and cosmetic performance of materials. The operator will ensure maximum machine uptime and optimal product yields while using the correct raw materials per Work Order.
Key responsibilities include conducting and documenting required product tests (e.g., treated weight, scale flow, viscosity, bag sealing) to meet product specifications. The operator will collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure materials meet internal and industry standards and promptly communicate with Line Lead or Maintenance when equipment issues arise.
The role requires strict adherence to safety, food regulations, and GMPs. Operators must record downtime and stoppage, assist with Preventive Maintenance, and cross-train in other areas as needed. The position involves physical work in environments with exposure to chemicals, noise, dust, and lifting up to 50lbs.
The Matrix Operator will assist other operators in packaging and maintain cleanliness in assigned work areas. Participation in training and continuous improvement events is required. Additional duties as assigned.
