A well-established company in the packaging equipment manufacturing industry is seeking a CNC Machinist/Programmer to join its team at the Pinellas Park, Florida manufacturing facility. This position involves setting up and operating various CNC turning centers, with programming experience being a significant plus. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, self-driven, and able to handle tasks independently while ensuring the highest standards of quality. This role reports to the Director of Operations. salary: $49,950 - $60,320 per year

Responsibilities

• Set up programs using M & G code
• Set up and operate DMG Mori Lathes, HAAS CNC Mill (TM-1 & V-F3), and other machinery as production demands
• Inspect parts produced in previous operations
• Perform quality inspections of manufactured parts
• Design and create fixtures for Mill operations
• Assemble bearings and pins into manufactured parts
• Perform basic preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment and tooling
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Uphold high ethical and quality standards

Skills and Competencies:

• 3+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC Lathe/Mill machines
• Thorough understanding of turning operations, technical blueprints, and 3D models
• Experience in designing and defining holding fixtures and inspection tools, such as go-no-go gauges
• Knowledge of cutting tool selection and optimal cutting conditions
• Proficiency in the metric system
• Communication and teamwork skills
• Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn
• Attention to detail with a high sense of urgency
• Ability to perform effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Collaborative mindset for working with a diverse team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook
