A well renounced poultry manufacturer is hiring a Live Ops Broiler Manager in Waverly to oversee breed mix, feed, and growout programs. Associates degree in Agriculture or Animal Science required, Bachelor's preferred. Responsibilities

• Production Management:
  
  
  • Planning, organizing, directing, and controlling production activities to ensure the development and delivery of high-quality broilers. 
  • Monitoring and maintaining production records. 
  • Ensuring adherence to quality standards and production schedules. 
• Animal Welfare:
  
  
  • Ensuring the health and welfare of the birds, including proper feeding, watering, and environmental conditions. 
  • Identifying and addressing potential health issues or problems. 
• Team Leadership and Coordination:
  
  
  • Supervising and training farm staff. 
  • Coordinating with other departments, such as hatcheries, feed mills, and processing plants. 
  • Communicating effectively with contract growers. 
• Operational Efficiency:
  
  
  • Optimizing production processes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency. 
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements. 
  • Managing budgets and resources effectively. 
• Safety:
  
  
  • Ensuring a safe working environment for staff and animals. 
  • Adhering to safety protocols and regulations. 
• Other Responsibilities:
  
  
  • Preparing and maintaining reports on production activities. 
  • Staying up-to-date on industry best practices and regulations. 
  • Collaborating with departments on feed milling processes and production challenges
