Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with HACCP, SQF, OSHA, and other food safety regulations.
- Monitor quality control processes and perform tests to ensure product consistency.
- Investigate quality execution deficiencies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with Production, R&D, and Quality Assurance teams to improve quality and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and company specifications.
- Maintain accurate records, including quality control data, reports, and audit results.
- Train new employees on GMPs, food safety protocols, and sanitation requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field (or equivalent experience in food manufacturing).
- 3+ years of experience in quality assurance/control in the food industry.
- Familiarity with KPIs, quality metrics, and food safety management systems.
- Understanding of food regulations, including HACCP, SQF, and OSHA requirements.
- Great problem-solving skills and ability to analyze data for continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Work in both office and food production environments—requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs).
- Ability to analyze, compare, and evaluate data while coordinating with multiple teams.
