Responsibilities
Promotes ownership of distribution center equipment within the maintenance team to ensure continuous inspection and rapid problem resolution. Uses Web TMA for preventive maintenance to maintain machinery and equipment per manufacturer guidelines and best practices. Operates, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical and mechanical material-handling equipment, including fork trucks, conveyors, and sorters.
Responds to service requests and oversees maintenance and repair of material-handling systems. Diagnoses and repairs complex automated equipment, including computer hardware/software and PLCs. Maintains advanced maintenance skills, including predictive maintenance.
Interprets Web TMA data to adjust maintenance schedules and improve efficiency. Reviews and recommends changes to PM procedures and assignments. Completes work order documentation accurately for work history and parts tracking.
Mentors and trains General and Senior Technicians in diagnostic techniques and repair processes. Delegates work based on operational needs. Coordinates with the Function Manager to develop a training matrix to enhance technician skills.
Audits and reviews technician work and PMs, reporting results to the Function Manager. Communicates safety issues and ensures compliance with standards. May be required to perform the duties of General or Senior Technician as needed.
