Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately determine required materials, dimensions, and project scope.
- Cut, shape, and assemble metal components using a variety of techniques such as welding, cutting, grinding, and machining to meet project specifications.
- Measure and verify the dimensions of materials and components to ensure proper fit and maintain high standards of quality control.
- Perform welding on metal components using MIG, TIG, and Stick welding methods, ensuring durable, and aesthetically sound welds.
- Operate various fabrication equipment such as saws, drills, presses, and CNC machines to create, modify, and refine metal parts.
- Inspect welded joints, metalwork, and finished products for quality, strength, and durability, making adjustments and repairs as needed to ensure all work meets company and industry standards.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Regularly inspect and maintain tools and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
- Work closely with engineers, project managers, and fellow fabricators to ensure projects are completed on time and according to specifications.
