Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and monitor the quality of metal fabrication, machining, and welding processes, ensuring adherence to specifications and industry standards.
- Perform visual, mechanical, and dimensional inspections using a variety of tools, including micrometers, calipers, and other precision instruments.
- Identify and document non-conformances and work with production teams to resolve quality issues.
- Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to ensure the accurate implementation of customer requirements.
- Conduct periodic audits of manufacturing processes and systems to ensure compliance with internal quality standards and certifications.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures to improve overall manufacturing processes.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, maintaining accurate records for internal and external audits.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering and production, to identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations at all times.
- Proficiency in quality control principles, such as statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing
- Understanding of ISO standards and other relevant industry regulations
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Ability to analyze quality data and identify trends
- Proficiency in using quality control software and tools
