We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with electrical experience to join our team at a leading steel manufacturing company. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery including slitters, tube lasers, and flat lasers, conveyors, ensuring optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with industrial electrical systems and mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment.

salary: $52,000 - $66,560 per year

work hours: 6 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues on slitters, tube lasers, and flat lasers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled equipment, motors, drives, and electrical components.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Perform wiring, electrical panel work, and high-voltage troubleshooting as needed.
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance meet safety and compliance regulations.
• Work collaboratively with production teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
• Assist with installations and upgrades of new equipment.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, with an emphasis on electrical work.
• Experience troubleshooting slitters, tube lasers, and flat lasers is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, including PLC programming, motor controls, and automation systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
