Responsibilities

Responsibilities
• Ensure all lab equipment is cleaned daily, and calibrated.
• Ensure the floor operators are taking width and thickness checks for all products.
• Ensure that ribbons are done correctly and without lumps.
• Ensure quality staff is trained and understands data trends and can make recommendations.
• Cover quality staff vacations, weekend rotation, and absences, all shifts (1,2,3).
• Assist with lab expansion, placing and calibrating equipment.
• Assist with milling, rheometer testing, physical testing, curing and all other testing as required. They ensure all testing is complete for the day-to-day shipping.
• Assist with breaks and lunches for shift working day to day.
• Prioritize the workload within the lab to maintain consistency and speed in response to the floor.
• Problem solves to find solution to questions/ problems that occur.
• Work with Segment Managers and Production Supervisors/Managers on nonconforming material generated on shift, especially with nonconforming material that needs to be shipped. Segment Managers must be contacted for approval to ship any nonconforming material.
• Ensure all preparations are made on control stock and coordinate the testing of the material for all equipment.
