This opportunitiy is a contract-to-hire role in Forney, TX for a renewable energy storage solutions company! The Machine Operator III is responsible for overseeing the operation of multiple machines, as needed, supporting the training of other operators and ensuring optimal efficiency and quality. The Machine Operator III requires strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes. Required Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment operating complex machinery.
• Knowledge of machine operations and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work in different climates (cold or hot)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Ability to train and mentor others.
• strong attention to detail and quality.
• strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication, collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work overtime, including weekends, as required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to walk/stand for an extended period.
• Must be able to lift, push, and move items weighing 40 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate and set up multiple machines, according to standard operating procedures
• (SOPs), as needed.
• Identify and report machine malfunctions and need for minor repairs.
• Conduct machine inspections and support the preventative maintenance process.
• Perform quality checks on finished products, ensuring they meet specifications.
• Support the training and mentoring of other machine operators.
• Assist with process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Load and unload materials into machines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Complete and maintain accurate production documentation and logs.
• Assist with routine machine maintenance, such as cleaning and lubrication, as needed.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Recommend process improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environment

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

manual lifting up to 50lbs

standing for 8 hours at one time

working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week

working weekends
