Responsibilities
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company standards.
- Verify accuracy of shipments by checking items against invoices, orders, or packing lists.
- Create and affix shipping labels, ensuring correct addresses and documentation.
- Arrange for transportation and schedule pickups with carriers.
- Maintain records of outgoing shipments, including tracking numbers and delivery confirmations.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for damage or quality issues before dispatch.
- Receive incoming shipments and inspect for accuracy, damage, or discrepancies.
- Unload and properly store received goods in designated areas.
- Verify contents against purchase orders, invoices, or packing slips.
- Report any damaged, missing, or incorrect items to the appropriate department.
- Update inventory records to reflect received goods.
