Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Oversee all maintenance operations and ensure adherence to policies for vehicle and equipment inspection, maintenance, and repair.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements (if applicable).
- Authorize and arrange procurement of parts, supplies, tools, and machinery.
- Coordinate contracts for external services not performed in-house.
- Consult with the Vice President of Fleet and operations management to recommend vehicle and equipment replacement needs.
- Participate in the budget-making process related to maintenance operations.
- Conduct periodic inspections and audits of vehicles, equipment, and facilities to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance.
- Identify and address potential safety hazards to protect personnel.
- Investigate and evaluate causes, extent, and financial impacts of equipment failures and vehicle accident
