Responsibilities
- Operate and program CNC mills and lathes, entering instructions and proving out part programs.
- Perform conventional machining on lathes, mills, and jig bores, with a focus on first-article repairs.
- Repair aircraft parts to extremely close tolerances (0.0002") under minimal supervision, maintaining keen attention to detail.
- Plan machining processes by interpreting drawings, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and machining parameters.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges, to ensure adherence to specified tolerances and standards.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to aid in the development and implementation of new repair developments.
- Maintain a positive workflow within the repair process to meet desired turnaround times.
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve effectively, working collaboratively within a team environment.
- Communicate clear directions to fellow employees and foster a positive team dynamic.
- Take ownership of tasks and explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
