The site is just getting underway with being set up and we need  to start right away! The Lead Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal downtime. This role requires expertise in both mechanical and electrical maintenance, with a strong focus on industrial automation, PLCs, robotics, and high-speed manufacturing systems. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with servo drives, vision systems, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and industrial networking technologies to support production operations.  What we are looking for on your resume:

• Examples of experience that highlight relevance to battery manufacturing industry (relays, robotics, PLCs, conveyors, CMMS or PM experience, troubleshooting methodologies you are familiar with)
• LOTO and safety adherence
• Certificates obtained (previous or current company obtained, or obtained independently)
• Low voltage and high voltage experience.
• Resume gap explanations if applicable
• Automation experience in general

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and automation-related issues on production and plant equipment efficiently. 

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. 

• Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, servo drives, industrial robots, and vision systems. 

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical control systems, including motors, relays, drives, 3-phase power, and communication devices. 

• Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems used in manufacturing processes. 

• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals for troubleshooting and repairs. 

• Perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions to improve equipment reliability. 

• Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work, track maintenance activities, and report failures. 

• Assist in continuous improvement projects, modifications, and equipment upgrades. 

• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe work environment. 

• Perform other duties as assigned.
