Responsibilities
- Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished aerospace products to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and industry standards.
- Use precision measuring tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMMs) to verify dimensional accuracy.
- Conduct first article inspections (FAI) and document findings per AS9102 requirements.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine quality standards.
- Identify and document non-conformances, initiate corrective actions, and support root cause analysis.
- Maintain detailed inspection records and generate quality reports.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other relevant aerospace quality standards.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality issues.
- Conduct audits of manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to quality procedures.
- Ensure proper handling and documentation of rejected materials.
- Assist in customer and regulatory audits as needed.
