Are you a self-starter but also great in a team setting with superb attention to detail? The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications. This role requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints, use precision measuring tools, and maintain quality standards.

salary: $40,000 - $60,000 per year

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities

• Machine Setup and Operation:
  • Set up CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) according to work orders and blueprints.
  • Load and unload materials and parts.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning.
  • Make necessary adjustments to machine settings.
• Blueprint Interpretation:
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Understand dimensional tolerances and specifications.
• Quality Control:
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Verify that parts meet quality standards.
  • Identify and report any defects or deviations.
• Machine Maintenance:
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines.
  • Ensure machines are clean and properly lubricated.
  • Report any machine malfunctions.
• Safety:
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate production records.
  • Document machine settings and adjustments.
  • Record inspection results.
