Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair hydraulic systems and components on custom trucks and heavy-duty vehicles.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic issues including pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and fittings.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance to ensure the reliability and efficiency of hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose and resolve hydraulic system malfunctions, ensuring all equipment operates at optimal performance.
- Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Conduct pressure testing, fluid checks, and other diagnostic procedures to ensure the functionality of hydraulic systems.
- Work with engineers and production teams to design and implement hydraulic systems for custom fabrication projects.
- Perform welding, fabrication, and other mechanical tasks related to hydraulic system assembly.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
- Assist in the training of junior technicians and shop personnel on hydraulic system maintenance and repairs.
