Responsibilities
- Conduct mechanical inspections of components, subassemblies, and finished products using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Inspect the functionality and quality of mechanical parts and assemblies to ensure they meet technical specifications and drawing requirements.
- Perform detailed audits of manufacturing processes, documentation, and records to ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, ASME, etc.) and internal procedures.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to verify accuracy of parts and assemblies.
- Identify defects, deviations, or non-conformities in materials or finished products and document findings for corrective action.
- Collaborate with production teams and engineering staff to resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for audits, inspections, and quality assurance.
- Monitor compliance with safety and environmental regulations during the inspection process.
- Perform first article inspections (FAI) to ensure that initial production runs meet specifications before full-scale manufacturing begins.
- Conduct periodic reviews and audits of internal processes, tools, and systems to identify opportunities for improvement in quality control and production efficiency.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement within the production environment.
