Responsibilities
- Customer Interaction:
Technicians often interact directly with clients, explaining issues, providing maintenance tips, and discussing potential system upgrades.
- Safety and Compliance:
They ensure compliance with industry codes and regulations, including those related to occupational health and safety.
- Preventative Maintenance:
Performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient and safe operation of HVAC systems.
- Installation, Maintenance, and Repair:
HVAC technicians install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and components, including furnaces, heat pumps, chillers, boilers, air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and air quality systems.
- Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:
They diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions, identify potential problems, and determine the best course of action for repairs or replacements.
