Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in mechanical upkeep, industrial technology, or a related field is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in mechanical upkeep and repair, particularly with heavy equipment and industrial machinery.
- Experience with electrical systems is beneficial.
- Good communication abilities. Knowledge of Spanish is helpful but not required.
- Punctual, reliable, and conscientious with close attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to work in an environment that is not climate-controlled.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks, prioritizing work, and driving projects.
- Developed mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
- Competence with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to understand and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and capacity to work independently.
- Ability to lift heavy items, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions (e.g., noise, dust, temperature extremes).

Responsibilities
- Perform regular and scheduled upkeep on industrial machinery, heavy equipment, and related systems within two general buildings.
- Work with equipment such as hydraulic presses, welding machines, automated saws, air systems, lathes (CNC & manual), pneumatic equipment, and a water jet machine.
- Identify mechanical malfunctions and implement effective repair solutions.
- Replace worn or broken components, including gears and bearings.
- Conduct routine checks to detect potential issues before equipment failure occurs.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to analyze mechanical problems and develop appropriate repair plans.
- Install new machinery and equipment, ensuring correct setup and calibration for optimal performance.
- Adjust and fine-tune equipment settings based on operational needs.
- Maintain thorough records of upkeep and repair activities, including parts utilized and time spent.
- Prepare reports on equipment condition and offer recommendations for enhancements or upgrades.
