We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC machines, including Haas vertical machining centers and Mazak lathes. This role may also involve operating manual machines. Responsibilities include calculating and setting machining parameters such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and cutting depth/angle, or programming machine controls as needed. If no program exists, the machinist will be responsible for developing one.

salary: $19.5 - $26 per hour

work hours: 5 AM - 1:30 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machinery and manual machines
  
  
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining instructions
  
  
• Calculate machining parameters and input/edit machine control programs
  
  
• Monitor machining process to ensure accuracy and quality
  
  
• Troubleshoot and adjust machine settings as needed
  
  
• Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance
  
  
• Produce routine reports and maintain production records
  
  
• One-year certificate from a college or technical school, or one year of related experience/training
  
  
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documentation
  
  
• Proficiency in basic algebra, geometry, and general machining math (area, volume, etc.)
  
  
• problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
  
  
• Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions
  
  
• Preferred: Machining certification
