Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing inspections on in-house machined and/or purchased precision parts, units, materials, equipment and all level of assemblies and quality control programs to specifications. Interprets manufacturing drawings, diagrams, BOM’s, specifications and lists to approve or reject units, test setups, or systems of in process and final assemblies.
- Maintains support documentation and performs sampling and testing of incoming components, raw materials, and build of assemblies.
- Reviews and reports performance data.
- Ensures raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company and test standards.
- Determines or assists in determining methods and procedures necessary for inspection.
- Ability of using precision measurement instruments such as a caliper, micrometer, and other required gages applicable to measurements.
- Familiar with industry standards such as Mil Specs, IPC-A-610 and MIL-STD-883.
- Familiar with mechanical measuring equipment such as Optical Gaging Product (OGP).
- Knowledge and understanding of different materials used in manufacturing (aluminum, brass, copper, etc.).
- Knowledge and understanding of tolerances and basic GD&T of blueprint drawings.
