We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our warehouse or distribution team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move materials and products within the facility, loading and unloading shipments, and ensuring that items are stored in the correct locations. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to operate forklifts efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

salary: $15 - $17 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 6 AM - 5 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts (electric, gas, or propane) to move, stack, load, and unload materials or products within the warehouse or production facility.
  
  
• Transport goods to designated areas within the warehouse, ensuring the correct inventory and organization.
  
  
• Load and unload shipments from delivery trucks, ensuring safe handling of materials.
  
  
• Inspect forklift before use to ensure it is in safe working condition and report any maintenance issues or malfunctions to the supervisor.
  
  
• Safely stack, store, and organize materials in the appropriate racks, shelves, or bins.
  
  
• Ensure that all items are properly labeled and stored according to company procedures.
  
  
• Assist with inventory control by counting and scanning products as needed.
  
  
• Maintain accurate records of materials moved, stored, or delivered.
  
  
• Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
  
  
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the forklift and surrounding area.
  
  
• Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as cleaning the forklift, checking fluid levels, and reporting any mechanical issues.
