Responsibilities
Job Summary:
The Machine Technician provides technical support by performing on-site visits, training customers, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring proper machine setup and functionality. They collaborate with the assembly team for testing, make repair recommendations, and support customer inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- On-Site Support: Coordinate travel, assist with equipment installation, and ensure seamless integration into customer operations.
- Training & Troubleshooting: Train customers on equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Assist with creating preventive maintenance procedures and improve machine efficiency.
- Test & Evaluation: Conduct in-house equipment testing and coordinate with the assembly department before shipment. Lead Factory Acceptance Inspections as needed.
- Repairs & Recommendations: Evaluate equipment for repairs or upgrades and assist with creating Bill of Materials (BOM) when necessary.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of visits, training, and machine performance. Complete call reports post-visit.
- Follow safety protocols and proper PPE usage.
- Maintain accurate work records.
- Receive guidance from the General Manager.
- May involve occasional tasks outside primary duties.
- Proficient in reading technical manuals and using tools for machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions.
- Travel 25-50% of the time
