A high-tech manufacturing company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Test Technician to support the testing and validation of fiber optic components and systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for hands-on component-level testing, troubleshooting, and repair of high-performance fiber optic transmission equipment used in broadcast, AV, and data applications. Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform functional, environmental, and performance testing of fiber optic products and sub-assemblies.
  
  
• Troubleshoot down to the component level using schematics, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other diagnostic tools.
  
  
• Document test results, maintain records, and provide feedback to engineering and production teams.
  
  
• Collaborate with design and production teams to support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  
  
• Calibrate and maintain test equipment in compliance with quality standards.
  
  
• Assist with the development and refinement of test procedures and protocols.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or equivalent technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
  
  
• 2+ years of experience in electronics testing, preferably in fiber optics or RF-based systems.
  
  
• Strong hands-on experience with test equipment such as OTDRs, optical power meters, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
  
  
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and datasheets.
  
  
• Knowledge of fiber optic technologies, including single-mode and multi-mode systems, transceivers, and optical connectors.
  
  
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
