Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain fabrication equipment including, but not limited to: Angleline, Drill Line, Plasma Table, Python X, and Press Brake.
• Accurately interpret and read complex structural steel fabrication blueprints and drawings to verify part dimensions, specifications, and tolerances.
• Apply basic knowledge of CAD/CAM software to understand part layouts and nesting.
• Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of how to post programs to NC (Numerically Controlled) fabrication machines.
• Utilize various measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, calipers, and other hand tools to ensure precise measurements and quality control.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on assigned fabrication equipment.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures within the fabrication shop.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate effectively with other fabrication team members, engineers, and project managers.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the fabrication process.

The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environment

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

manual lifting up to 50lbs

standing for 10 hours at one time
